Personal Breakthrough
What is a Personal Breakthrough?
A Personal Breakthrough is an opportunity to go deeper—to uncover not only what you want to change, but the patterns, beliefs, emotions, and unconscious strategies that may have been keeping the problem in place.
We begin with an in-depth discovery process. Through a comprehensive series of questions, we explore your primary concern, how you experience it, how it may be affecting different areas of your life, and perhaps most importantly, how the pattern continues to work in your life.
This isn't about blame. It's about empowerment.
When we recognize that we cannot change other people or rewrite the events of our past, we can then begin to focus on what is within our influence—our own beliefs, responses, choices, and behaviors. In NLP, this is sometimes referred to as being “at cause;” Taking responsibility for what we can change, giving us the opportunity to begin doing something differently.
Going Deeper
Once we have a clearer understanding of the underlying patterns, we begin the release and transformation work. Drawing from Time Line Therapy,® NLP, hypnotic language, intuitive guidance, and other approaches appropriate for you, we work through the process in phases. Depending upon your individual needs, this may include working with:
-
Anger
-
Sadness
-
Fear
-
Hurt
-
Guilt and shame
-
Limiting beliefs and decisions
-
Unwanted behavioral patterns
-
Values ~and how they align with the life you want
-
Unconscious strategies—your unique “how” behind a recurring problem
-
Inner conflicts, such as: when one part of you wants one thing while another part seems to want something different
The intention is not to erase your past. It is to release the emotional weight and attachments that may still be influencing your present, while opening the possibility of responding differently as you move forward.
The Work Continues Beyond the Session
A Personal Breakthrough is thorough, and your participation is a vital part of the process.
The work does not end when you leave the office. You may be given specific tasks, practices, or changes to make between sessions; opportunities to put new awareness into action at home, at work, in relationships, and in everyday life.
Once the release work is complete, we turn our attention toward the future—clarifying what you want and establishing meaningful goals that support where you are going, rather than where you have been.
How long have you been where you are?
If you want something to change in your life, you have to change something in your life.
